My journey to find the perfect wedding dress started like most brides-to- be…
With a lot of ideas and little direction. After countless appointments and trying on several dresses, only to find a bunch of no’s and maybes, I had a clearer idea about what I wanted. I also figured that I was way too picky to get a store-bought dress and would need to look into a more custom experience.
Going with Chloe was an easy choice. I always loved the classic flattering silhouettes of her gowns and knew that she would be able to make my dream dress. What I really loved about the design process with Chloe is that she was there with me from beginning to end. From the fabric choices to the fitting, every aspect was as important to her as it was to me.
The first meeting was about the style, silhouette and fabric choice. I brought about a dozen fabric samples and photos of wedding dress inspirations; in short, I was an indecisive mess. Luckily, Chloe was able to tailor down my decision, along with helping me choose which fabric would best fit the design.
The next step was more about getting the fit right, with a muslin fitting Chloe was able to figure out the fit, length of train and any other additional design elements I wanted. For example, we were able to come up with a beautiful chiffon capelet to add on, which ended up being my favorite part of the wedding gown.
After two more fitting appointments, the dress that I had envisioned came to life. I couldn’t have been happier about the end result, but most importantly about the amazing experience of getting to help design my own wedding dress.
