Today, DAO Chloe DAO is known for its refined, feminine, and flattering designs, offering limited-edition pieces, custom garments, and a bridal collection.

My mother, my mentor, my muse
My greatest inspiration has always been my mother. She is the definition of strength, grace, and perseverance. As a refugee and a mother of eight daughters, she taught me the values of hard work, determination, and resilience. Despite language barriers and challenges, she built a life for our family, working tirelessly and taking risks. She is the reason I have the courage to chase my dreams, and her elegance and strength inspire every piece I create.

I believe…
...in kindness and openness because fashion can be intimidating, but it shouldn’t be. I’m here to educate, be a guide, and provide support, so that every woman feels empowered to embrace her own style with confidence.
Fashion is precious, but it should be lived in. It’s not just about what you wear, it’s about the moments you create while wearing it. A dress should make you feel something, it should make you laugh, cry, celebrate, and remember. It’s more than fabric; it’s a reflection of who you are, where you’ve been, and where you’re going.
At Chloe Dao, fashion isn’t just about trends, it’s about creating memories and helping you tell your story through what you wear.

My design philosophy…
Great design starts with precision and purpose. Every detail matters—from the structure of a gown to the drape of a blouse, I meticulously craft each piece to balance flattery, function, and timeless elegance. I believe that a well-designed garment should stand the test of time, both in style and construction. That’s why my collections are built on impeccable tailoring, thoughtful silhouettes, and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.

My community
Fashion is my passion, but giving back is my purpose. I believe in using my platform to support and uplift others, whether it’s mentoring young designers, collaborating with local businesses, or contributing to organizations that empower women. I’m honored to serve on the fashion advisory boards of Houston Community College and The Art Institute and to work with incredible nonprofits like Dress for Success, Community Cloth, and Theatre Under the Stars. To me, success isn’t just about what I create—it’s about how I can help others grow and succeed, too.

My biggest moment
Winning Project Runway Season 2 was a defining moment in my career. It opened doors I never imagined—collaborations with major brands, collections for QVC, and the opportunity to bring my designs to a national audience. But more than the recognition, it reaffirmed what I had always known: fashion is my true calling. It gave me the platform to continue doing what I love—designing for real women and making them feel incredible in what they wear.

My Aesthetic
I design for the woman who loves effortless sophistication—she’s bold yet refined, confident yet graceful. My aesthetic is rooted in timeless silhouettes, expert tailoring, and a deep appreciation for the female form. I focus on 360-degree design—because a dress should look as beautiful from the back as it does from the front. My pieces exude elegance without feeling overdone, always striking a balance between structure and fluidity, strength and femininity, modernity and timelessness.
Fashion should feel as good as it looks. Let’s create something extraordinary together.
